From Kazakhstan With Love

It's true what they say, that all stories have two sides. More often than not the story of how a couple first met is always a bit more exaggerated from the guys side, funnily enough this time round it turned out to be completely true.

As Rakhim tells it, it started like every other Sunday for him. Getting up early and heading to the morning church service which was packed to the rafters as always. The service was well and under way when he noticed this attractive young girl arriving late. To save her from "embarassment" he slid over to make some room for her. After the service they struck up a conversation and heading out Joanna began rifling through her bag. She pulled out her phone and these are Rakhim's words, not mine, to again save her embarassment he gave her his phone number and it all began from there. Long, I mean 8hr long walks in the park have now blossomed into what you see.

Rakhim if you have not already guessed, is from Kazakhstan and shares a couple of similarities with his fellow countryman. Not only is he out rageously funny but is very proud of the country he first grew up in. Joanna is down to earth and loves to laugh to laugh, so much like the perfect balance sheet, their numbers just work (they're accountants by the way).

Most couples are camera shy when we start off and that's to be expected. Joanna and Rakhim were just the opposite, both confident in the fact that they looked fabulous and were happy just to enjoy the experience.

Together, they're amazing and you can see the chemistry between them. They made it feel like an awesome afternoon with some close friends and I hope they keep in touch. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I loved shooting it.
